Scenic Bird Food pioneered the use of extrusion technology
in 1984 to manufacture foods for exotic cage birds and parrots. Having developed
this technology for bird food, we produce a light and crunchy morsel unlike any
other pellet. Our morsels do not sink in water nor do they absorb moisture so fast
that they fall apart. Many parrot like to dunk or float their food before eating it and this
is a feature that only Scenic offers its customers.

Extruded foods are like pellets but with significant differences.
They are light and crunchy, not hard, and usually are manufactured
in a variety of sizes and shapes.
